Community Land Trusts (CLTs) are non-profit, community-based organisations that steward housing and other assets which meet the needs of the community. CLTs can provide homes to rent and buy at permanently affordable levels.
In 2017 Leeds Community Homes received funding from the Community Land Trust Network to develop as a Community Land Trust for the Leeds area.

We have an asset lock, which means that our assets can only be used for the purposes of benefiting the community in this defined area. In the event that LCH is wound up, its surviving assets can only be transferred to an organisation with similar aims.
