We were lucky enough to go on a site visit to the Climate Innovation District last week. The site is situated south of the river in Leeds city centre very close to Leeds Dock.
We came to see the progress of Citu’s Aire Lofts development which is the location of Leeds Community Homes’s new flats. There are a mixture of one and two bedroom flats for affordable rent and shared ownership included in the complex. This is just phase one and there will be more LCH flats coming in phase two!
It was really great to see the progress that has been made on the flats which are close to completion. We were able to go on the building site to visit the amazing show flat, which as you can see from the pictures is a lovely sunny open plan design. In line with the Citu ethos of creating sustainable modern places to live with a strong community.
There are already many people living in the Climate Innovation District, Solar Avenue has already developed as a community and will be joined by the residents of Aire Lofts in around June when they are completed. Watch this space for more updates!
