A few weks ago we held an introduction to community-led housing session. It was a chance for members of the public to find out the basics about CLH, including how to get started on a project in their own communities, as well as what support Leeds Community homes and People Powered Homes can offer to local groups.
Our CEO Jimm Reed presented a beginners guide and spoke about the successful housing schemes already up and running in Yorkshire. The session was online so if you missed the event you can still watch the presentation.
There was also some specific interest from people from South Leeds who would like to start up a Community-led housing project their area, this is being lead by Councillor Ed Carlisle.
